Steps and methods: Remove several warp and weft yarns of two unknown types of webbing, burn the webbing with a lighter, and observe some physical phenomena during the burning process to determine the raw materials of the warp and weft yarns. When burning, observe the flame, the melting situation and the odor emitted, and the condition of the ash after burning.

The following are the combustion physical performance parameters of the two webbing materials for your reference:
Nylon webbing: It shrinks and melts when it is close to the flame, drips and bubbles. It does not continue to burn directly. It smells like celery. After burning and cooling, it appears hard, round, light, brown to gray beads.
Polyester webbing: when it is close to the flame, it shrinks, shrinks, melts, drips and foams, and it can continue to burn. A few have smoke and have a very weak sweetness. Hard round, black or light brown beads appear after burning and cooling.
Matters needing attention: It does not need to burn for a long time, and it can be completed within 30 seconds from ignition to identification of materials.
