The thermal insulation coating materials of coated webbing mainly include resin and functional particles, in which functional particles play a major role. The coating materials of Coated Webbing are classified according to chemical structure, including polyvinyl chloride (PVC), polyacrylate (PA), polyurethane (PU), organosilicon, rubber latex and polytetrafluoroethylene. PA and PU are divided into two types: solvent type and water dispersible type.

Barrier thermal insulation coating is a passive cooling coating that realizes thermal insulation through the impedance effect of heat transfer. The thermal insulation mechanism is relatively simple. Generally, a composition with low thermal conductivity is adopted or air with extremely low thermal conductivity is introduced into the coating film to obtain good thermal insulation effect. It usually has the characteristics of small bulk density, low thermal conductivity and small dielectric constant. Reflective thermal insulation coating insulates sunlight energy by reflection. Common reflective materials include ceramic powder, aluminum powder, titanium dioxide and ATO (antimony doped tin oxide) powder.

Among them, aerogels have larger specific surface area, smaller thermal conductivity and smaller density. Therefore, self made SiO2 aerogels can be used as functional particles, and PA and PU adhesives are used to coat the fabric and make SiO2 heat insulation Coated Webbing. TiO2 has high UV shielding efficiency, high refractive index efficiency and strong light scattering force. Therefore, TiO2 is added as functional particles to prepare composite thermal insulation coating in order to improve the thermal insulation effect and UV resistance of the fabric.
